It is a truth universally acknowledged that a sign translated from Chinese to English can be the source of much merriment. Well the new ones that have gone up at Beijing airport are no exception.
We recently spotted this helpful warning on the back of the bathroom doors:
…glad to know they’re worried about us getting a head rush.
Then when we got to security we noticed this gem:
No water (sure, we’re used to that by now). No knives or sharp blunt tools – obvs. But wait…no crystal balls!?
Bad news for the myriad psychics and mystics passing through China’s capital to be sure.
We think they mean snow globes, but either way it’s a pretty niche item to warn people about!
