We did it again! Bespoke has been nominated in the ‘Greatest Innovation / Disruption’ category at the LE Miami Awards 2014 (brought to you by Travel+Leisure and DEPARTURES magazines). Yes, the LE Miami Awards, which are all about this:
“The collision of luxury and lifestyle is fracturing the contemporary travel industry, transforming travel brands into lifestyle brands with a distaste for the conventional. The LE Miami Awards have been designed to recognise the rebels at the forefront of this new take on travel.”
That pretty much sums us up, eh? Actually LE Miami summed us up thusly:
“Bespoke Beijing: The game-changing ground operator putting a twist on Chinese Travel Experiences.”
Our nomination for ‘Greatest Innovation / Disruption’ is in recognition of last year’s Beijing Time Chase, the citywide, petrol-fuelled scavenger romp on PLA sidecar motorcycles that set the capital ablaze (not literally – safety first with us). We are competing in our category against the likes of W Hotel Verbier (“W Hotels’ first ski resort with an Ibiza vibe on ice”), the emerging ‘luxury unhotel’ brand onefinestay, Marrakech’s Fellah Hotel, a luxury hotel and art centre, and BoatSetter, the first online rental marketplace for boat renters. We are just humbled and awed to be in such esteemed company. And hopefully we’ll DESTROY them. Ahem. The winners will be judged and announced in Miami on June 9th. Wish us luck!
