You may not be able to travel to foreign lands this summer, but that doesn’t mean your kids need to miss out on the cultural experiences that would otherwise inspire wonder and ignite their imaginations.
So this July and August, why not take your family on a virtual trip to China to explore the Great Wall with the world’s foremost Great Wall historian? Or get them to burn off some energy in a Kung Fu class with a former Shaolin monk?
Are they aspiring chefs? We’ll teach them to make hand-pulled noodles from scratch and wrap their own dumplings. They’ll even get to learn what it would have been like to live inside China’s mysterious Forbidden City!
The Details
Every Thursday at 11am EST; 8am PDT; 4pm BST, direct from China, from July 16th until August 20th, we’re running a series of live talks and activities for families based in the US and Europe, via Zoom, in a bid to transport you to a different world, teach you something new, and most importantly, show you a good time during the school summer break!
Each adventure will include interactive elements or fun mini assignments, and – if you can’t make the time slot – can be watched via a recording for up to 2 weeks afterwards.
You’ll find the full line up below. You can buy individual tickets for each online activity (15 USD per family) or, for the best value, sign up for a Full Access Pass that covers all five sessions at a special rate of 70 USD.
