This lovely café deserves to herald a bold new era for Dashilan, a historic neighbourhood southwest of Tiananmen Square. Part café, part socially conscious creative hub, it’s a style pioneer for an area with the potential to become one of Beijing’s most beguiling neighbourhoods. Oh, and they have freakin’ awesome homemade cookies.
Touching down in a sprawling mega city of 20 million souls is enough to make even a seasoned traveller’s head spin. Beijing seems bold, brash and very, very big to new arrivals. But the city is much more manageable than you might think. Which is why we’ve created a unique product – two, in fact – to make our guests feel instantly at home in China’s capital.
