If your celeb radar is tuned to CHINA, you might have known that Tyra Banks, American media personality, actress, former model, gorgeous gal and creator of the TV show America’s Next Top Model, was in Beijing recently!
She took time out of her busy schedule (pssst – probably something to do with the local franchise of the show, China’s Next Top Model) to squeeze in a bit of culture, and Bespoke Beijing was only too happy to oblige (Tyra, we love you).
We hooked her up with our long-serving guide and hutong local Michael Hu to introduce her to his ‘hood (including this sneak peak in the Drum Tower) followed by a whistle-stop trip out to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
E! fans – lunch was a steamy affair at Din Tai Fung (as in steamed soup dumplings) in Parkview Green accompanied by Bespoke Beijing’s Operations Overlord, Bryony Thorpe.
Asked whether there were any eccentric A-list antics or other behaviour befitting a global megastar, Bryony said, “Shut up Tom, she was really nice.” Humph. So there you go.
