It may be called Xiao SuSu (Little SuSu), but the new branch of this popular Vietnamese restaurant is all grown up.
While original eatery SuSu hides in a humble courtyard close to the Forbidden City, this spin off sits loud and proud in the center of the Central Business District, in the showy new China World Mall tower.
Still bright and airy just like the original, this one benefits from floor to ceiling windows overlooking Beijing’s iconic CCTV Tower and its surrounding skyscrapers. A pretty epic view if you choose the right table:
And all of your favorites from the original SuSu are here too – the super fresh spring rolls, the zingy salads, the delicate La Vong Fish and tasty tofu. Plus a few specials that have become more permanent.
We especially love the No.10 Chicken Leg (pan-fried with lemongrass, fish sauce and lemon juice) and the Courtyard Salad with toon sprouts and beef tenderloin.
And of course all of those brilliantly (albeit slowly made) cocktails are still there too. You’ll find us by the bar with a Quiet American…
